Our Projects

Green Network

The green network was formed and launched in May at the SVS’ Friday Forum. It is facilitated by Southampton Voluntary Services/SO:Linked and Mayfield Nurseries/Solent Mind.

SO:Linking University & Community

A pilot scheme to bring a greater understanding of how SVS & University of Southampton can work closer to benefit community need.

SO:Lotto

Play SO:Lotto and support our community with a fundraising lottery. At least 60% from each ticket sold goes to support Southampton, and there’s a chance to win the £25,000 jackpot every week!

SO:Links

Local gatherings (currently online) to link up residents, community groups, health and council services, and others, to build on the good things in our neighbourhoods, and face local challenges together.

SO:Let’s Connect

SO:Let’s Connect is a new project with the aim of reducing isolation in Southampton by getting more people connected digitally, with funding available for eligible local residents tp purchase IT equipment.

Cost of living crisis – advice and guidance

SO:Linked recognise that many people are experiencing financial hardship due to rising energy costs and the cost of living crisis. We have collected some useful information where support is available and will update this regularly.

Would you like to get more involved with activities, groups and services that are local to you and help you to improve your health and wellbeing?

Do you find it difficult to know where to start, face challenges to getting along to activities, or would you like some support to take those next steps?

SO:Linked is a service for people who live in Southampton or who are registered with a Southampton GP. You can get in touch by phone or email. One of the team will ask for a few details to ensure we give you the right support for you and will then explore with you what sort of activities or services you’d like to link with. We’ll then help you to make that happen.

Whether you’re managing a long-term health condition, facing challenges, feeling lonely or have had a change in circumstances; getting involved in community activities can really help whatever your circumstances. In Southampton there are so many groups and activities – there really is something for everyone!
