Acorn Chaplaincy is a new service that has been set up to offer pastoral care and specific Christian recovery programmes for men and women struggling with addictions of all kinds – pornography, alcohol, work, gambling, drugs (both illegal and prescribed), phones/social media/video gaming.
We are a UK-based, non-profit Christian charity, set up to relieve persons in need and hardship because of addiction. We will have a team of chaplains who are trained to deliver our pastoral care and support services. In reaching out, working with addicted individuals, and informing people of the dangers and harm of addictions, whether related to substance misuse or compulsive behaviours, we help to dispel the stigma of addiction and help those with addiction gain sobriety, in doing so our local communities can benefit too.
