With six Mountbatten Hampshire shops (soon to be eight) and our Warehouse at Chandlers Ford, retail volunteers are in high demand!
We need dozens of volunteers to support our retail operations in getting out donations to our shops, where customers are searching for bargains to support Mountbatten Hampshire.
Our latest shop has recently opened in Above Bar Street, Southampton and we are therefore looking for volunteers to help us there. Open Mon-Sat 9.30-5.30, Sun 11.00-5.00
Time commitment
One shift per week, for around four hours (or more, if you would like)
You might be involved in
• Receiving donations, sorting out stock and replenishing the shelves
• Merchandising stock and window dressing
• Serving customers at the till
• Explaining our work to customers and signposting them to our support
You will be
• Helping raise money to support people facing death, dying and bereavement in Southampton and west Hampshire
• Developing skills which could enhance your CV
You would need to
• Be friendly, positive and caring
• Be physically fit and well enough to operate in a retail or warehouse environment
• Enjoy meeting and talking to new people
