The scheme is funded by the Government (DWP) and we have reviewed and extended our current scheme until 30th September 2022 (subject to funding) and will be providing:
- A Free School Meals (FSM) Voucher Scheme over the 2022 summer holidays, with a £30 voucher per eligible child/pupil. This will continue to be offered directly from education settings and will include a single supermarket voucher.
- A one-off, direct Household Support Fund payment to all Southampton pensioner households in receipt of Council Tax Support (on 1 April 2022).
- A self-referral online application for residents. Household Support Fund (southampton.gov.uk) . The amount will be £50 for the main applicant and then an additional £10 for each additional household member listed in the application. Only one application per household may be submitted before 30 September 2022.
Prepayment Utility Top-Ups and ‘White Goods’: Until 30th September 2022 (subject to funding), we will continue to use Household Support Fund funding to provide utility top-ups and white goods. Please see attached, the guidance for agencies and the referral forms.
Re-Use Furniture: Alongside Household Support Fund, SCRATCH will continue to offer agencies access to the DORCAS re-use furniture packages from £100. For more information DORCAS Project – Projects – SCRATCH (scratchcharity.co.uk)
