The Catholic Home Care has a team of carers who provide weekly help with all manner of household tasks – cleaning, laundry, shopping, gardening, they also befriend and offer a sitting service. The list expands depending on need – in fact, anything but personal care. They like to treat our elderly clients as we would our own parents, so if a job needs doing, simply ask. Funded by monthly collections, donations, annual appeal and client charges (the minimum possible) it is non-profit making.
They currently have over 90 elderly people, all with varying needs, with a dedicated team of 18 carers helping them to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes for longer.
Currently, they cover Centre and West Side of the City; postcodes SO14, SO15, most of SO16, and may also go into parts the nearer parts of SO40. They might consider other parts of the city if carers have transport to get there so it’s always worth asking.
