The role of the Board of Trustees is to provide sound governance, financial and strategic oversight and to provide support to the management of Simon Says as it navigates opportunities and obstacles into the future. Please note the role of Trustee is not remunerated but we do offer training and support to all volunteers including Trustees to ensure they are fully equipped to carry out their role.
Trustee duties will include attendance at Board meetings, occasional operational meetings and the Annual General Meeting. Trustees are also encouraged, periodically, to attend a small number of events and support group meetings to offer support to the volunteers and service users. Trustee meetings are held quarterly at our offices in West Wellow nr Romsey. The Annual General Meeting will generally be an evening meeting, held at a central Hampshire location once a year in the fourth month of the year,
As part of our board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help us achieve our purpose to support bereaved children and young people in Hampshire and beyond. This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support for children and young people. As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity
We are particularly interested in candidates with Safeguarding or Fundraising experience.
