About this service

VCSE Health and Wellbeing Fund
The VCSE Health and Wellbeing Fund aims to support VCSE organisations who can provide a holistic support offer to assist women experiencing reproductive health issues. The HW Fund is managed by Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England and NHS Improvement.Funding of between £200,000 to £600,000 per applicant is available over a period of 3 years, to expand or develop projects in areas outlined in the information pack. Applications with a commitment secured for additional funding will be prioritised but all applications will be considered.

OBJECTIVES OF FUND

Funding is intended to support voluntary and community organisations to provide a holistic support offer to women experiencing reproductive health issues so that they feel confident to remain in and return to the workplace. This includes ensuring that:

  • Women feel supported in the workplace.
  • Taboos are broken down through open conversation.
  • Employers feel well-equipped to support women in managing their health in the workplace.

VALUE NOTES

Grants of £200,000 to £600,000 over three years, to a maximum of £200,000 per year, are available.

It is expected that 15 to 20 awards will be made.

WHO CAN APPLY

To be eligible for funding, organisations must:

  • Meet the conditions set out in Section 70 of the Charities Act 2006.
  • Work in England, with a plan to operate their programme in England only.
  • Be not-for-profit, and either:
    • Incorporated (A company limited by guarantee and registered with Companies House, or a co-operative or industrial and provident society or a social enterprise).
    • Have charitable status.
  • Not apply for funding of more than 25% of their annual turnover.
  • Have an equal opportunities, health and safeguarding policy.
  • Have been operating in this area, or a closely related area, for at least three years.
  • Have a clear connection to work within local communities.

Joint applications are accepted as long as there is one organisation to be the lead applicant.

Applicants are required to provide a supporting letter from their local statutory commissioner: for example, clinical commissioning group (CCG), sustainability and transformation partnership (STP), integrated care system (ICS), or local authority.
