If you would like to be part of a group that meets weekly to learn and share creative skills, build new friendships and connect with your community in Southampton, join our Stitching Together project. We will making and decorating a range of items from bags to cushion covers using embroidery, applique and other techniques and we will be exploring creative ways to give new life to previously used textiles. The course is suitable for anyone from any background, culture and language and welcomes complete beginners as well as those who bring an enthusiasm for crafts such as embroidery, patchwork, dressmaking, drawing and painting.
Course aim

Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Demonstrate one or more decorative stitch-craft technique
- Create one or more stitched item using basic construction skills
- Demonstrate creative use of pre-worn/pre-used textiles
