Creative Options run a weekly wellbeing hub to support people experiencing mental ill-health; whether they be people who have been unwell for some time or newly struggling with ill-health. The wellbeing hub is a place where people can come and just ‘be’ and belong. We have a weekly quiz with prizes, do mindfulness meditation and relaxation and have wellbeing talks. We provide a lunch and do creative and social activities; all aimed at people being able to refocus their minds and the emphasis is on wellbeing. We also run a monthly nature journaling session, do creative writing and gardening activities. We run social events and have external outings and trips. We are looking for people with warmth and empathy who can support people with lived experience of mental health issues to come alongside and befriend. Also, people to help set up and organise activities. We particularly welcome people with specific skills and interests they would like to share with us. Above all, we are looking for enthusiasm and interest and people who are flexible, adaptable and willing to engage.
