We are setting up a new service offering chaplaincy to men and women struggling with addictions of any kind. Chaplains will offer pastoral care either by appointment or at drop-in sessions, a listening ear, prayer if wanted, and assess whether the guest would benefit from one of our in-house recovery programs or referral to another agency for further support. Guests may come from all faiths or none but our programs and prayer ministry comes from a Christian perspective, offering the love of God and the healing available in Christ, as well as a space to be heard, feel safe and find freedom from addiction. Therefore it is a requirement for chaplains to be practicing Christians.
We plan to have a base to open ready by September 2021 so the precise location is not certain yet. Approximately 4 hours weekly to be negotiated, including training and reflective practice
