Are you looking for a rewarding voluntary position that will really help shape the future of services for the local community? If you have knowledge and expertise to share and are looking for your next challenge, then consider becoming a Trustee for Yellow Door.
We are looking for Trustees to join our dynamic and fast-paced organisation that really makes a difference to the lives of those living with the impact of abuse. Yellow Door is a registered charity working across Southampton and Western Hampshire in response to, and prevention of, domestic and sexual abuse. We offer free specialist services available to women, men, children, young people, and families who have been affected by abuse, assault, and/or violence at any point in their lives.
We are particularly looking for applicants with experience in digital/marketing skills; fundraising; human resources and business management. However, this is not an exhaustive list so if you feel that you have the skills, knowledge, or background to support our work then please do consider applying.
By being a Trustee with us, you will be making a valuable contribution to our current work and future direction. Trustees play a vital role in influencing the strategic direction of the organisation, setting overall policy, and defining goals.
Our board meetings are held bi-monthly and there will be reading, correspondence to action, and individual tasks between meetings. There are also standing and specific project sub-groups who meet outside and report to the full board which you may wish to join.
We want our board of Trustees to reflect our local community, so we welcome applications from all different backgrounds and levels of experience. As long as you have a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to the duties of a trustee; are able to work effectively as part of a team and are committed to the aim of supporting our client base, then you could be the next Trustee to join our team.
If you are passionate about ensuring there are quality services to support those whose lives have been touched by abuse and you feel you have the drive and skills to support our work, then please apply.
The deadline for applications is 31st December 2020 with a view to interviewing in the new year. However, depending on the volume of applications, we reserve the right to close the application window sooner.
