The Seafarer Centre in Southampton supports all the seafarers coming into the port of Southampton. Due to the coronavirus some seafarers have been stuck at sea for over a year now. The seafarer centre is a safe location for seafarers to come to. The befriender role is to meet and greet seafarers, make cups of tea, tell them a bit about Southampton and overall be a nice person who can offer a lovely welcome environment, as the centre could be the first place they have come to in many months.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to help us with an ongoing project working in ancient woodland. We have ongoing opportunities for a gardener to help maintain the site, clearing paths and walkways and pruning and tending the garden. We are looking for labourers to help lift, carry, paint, and build for each project as it is put together. We are also looking for carpenters to help with designing and building each project. Our Charity solely relies on grants as its income and is a non-profit organisation. We have been an established charity since 1973 and times have never been more difficult.  We are unable to run our Ofsted registered play projects as we normally would. We have adapted everything we deliver to cater around Covid 19.
